Terms And Privacy

SchoolWrite International is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. In this Privacy Policy, LEGACY International, its software product known as SchoolWrite, and its authorised representatives, are collectively referred to as “we” or SchoolWrite. We value our relationship with the users of our web site and the services offered on it, and with the users of our software products. We recognize that you may be concerned about our collection, use, and disclosure of your personally identifiable information that we may collect when you use the Web Site and receive support from SchoolWrite. Accordingly, we have implemented this Privacy Policy to inform you about the information that we collect from you, how we collect this information, and what we do with it after we collect it. If you have any questions or comments regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us: Click here

SchoolWrite is strongly committed to protecting your privacy while interacting with our content, products and services. We want to provide a safe and secure environment for schools, colleges and universities using our software, and for their students and families.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to tell you what kind of information we may gather, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have in regard to this information. Our policy allows you to choose what kind and how much information you provide to us. Our goal is to provide you with professional computer software and ongoing support, while allowing you to control your privacy.

Collection of anonymous information

SchoolWrite collects two types of information. The first type is anonymous information. For instance, we may collect information to tell us how many people visit our Web Site, but we do not know their names, where they live - they are 'anonymous' to us. This information is collected for research purposes, is used in the aggregate, and remains anonymous. Some individuals who access our services will remain anonymous to us.

In no event shall SchoolWrite or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on SchoolWrite's website, even if SchoolWrite or a SchoolWrite authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Use of anonymous information

SchoolWrite automatically gathers anonymous information to monitor the use of this Web Site. We only use such data in the aggregate. This collective data helps us determine how much different parts of the site are used, so we can improve our services to assure that they are as useful as we can make it. SchoolWrite may publish or provide this aggregate data to other people.

Collection of specific information

The second type of information that SchoolWrite collects is information that lets us know the specifics of who you are, such as your name, email address, and the name and postal address of the institution you represent, if you provide it to us. With this information, SchoolWrite can provide specific software support and services that are not available to anonymous users. We hope that you will find it beneficial to provide specific information to us because it will make our services more valuable to you.

When you request software registration in the name of your school, college or institution, we may specifically ask for certain information. We will request the name of your institution, your name, email address, and credit card details, in order to provide that service or product to you.

At times we may request data to be backed up from your institution’s computer in relation to SchoolWrite software being used on that computer. It is up to you whether you provide this backup data to SchoolWrite.

SchoolWrite software attempts to connect to the Internet and send an automatic message to SchoolWrite International every 30 days about the version number of the software that you are running. This information includes your email address so you can be advised of significant upgrades in the future. If you do not wish for this to occur, simply ensure that your Internet connection is not on when you run SchoolWrite.

Use of specific information provided, and backup data.

SchoolWrite will only use the specific information you have chosen to provide us for the purpose for which you provided it. SchoolWrite will not use it for any other purpose without your consent. Backup data from your school, college or institution will be used only for resolving operational questions and issues, and for developing tailored software for your institution as requested. This data will not be passed to any other business or organization. It is regarded by SchoolWrite as entirely confidential. Under no circumstances will SchoolWrite place any student or school data on the world wide web or entrust this data to cloud computing. Student and school data is kept solely within the computers and networks of SchoolWrite International and of SchoolWrite's authorised representatives.

Credit card details will be used for a single transaction as agreed, and will only ever be passed to the bank or financial institution that processes the transaction. Repeat transactions with your credit card details will only be made with your specific consent and knowledge.

Names of institutions and email addresses of users of SchoolWrite software are confidential

This information will not be passed on to others without your consent.
